As if the lift wasn’t enough!!!!

Got to hydrotherapy and almost through the second glass door when power chair just stopped working. Luckily had a carer with me so we could lift him out to use brute force to get wheelchair back to the van (about 200 yds). It would push forwards in a fashion with the wheels disengaged but wouldn’t go backwards. We then had to carry Big F by hand to the chair. Once back in the chair four of us forced the chair in the van. Thank goodness we were in blue van as would never have got up the white van ramp. Once home we lifted him onto sidestep of van then hoisted him on portable hoist into house. Big F’s legs don’t bend so he’s a really awkward lift and manoeuvre. So he’s now sat in three wheeler. I then used hoist to lift power chair backwards out of the van. The chair repair man came, said he thinks the motor has gone and is trying to organise something for tomorrow morning!!!
