Flying In Formation

I went out looking for red kites again today - but they were not flying about in the same place as yesterday.

On the way home, however, this lot flew overhead - I could hear them long before I could see them - blip sorted! A spectacular sight and sound.

A classic ‘V’ formation (well almost) - I counted approximately 150 in this flock.

Many thanks for all the love for the kestrel and red kite photos - the kestrel is still hovering around page one of popular and the kites on page two (Tuesday morning)
