Old houses

The main part of our house dates from around 1790. As a result any seemingly simple job usually requires more intervention than originally expected .

Today was the start of some interior painting but it was soon apparent that this part of a ceiling needed stripped out and replaced as it must have had water ingress at some stage before re-roofing a few years ago.

And so that was what took up the first day…
