We are both pretty exhausted after yesterday and smug that we know how to throw a successful party.

Simon made two cakes; one so huge it rivaled the trifle he brought round at Christmas. 

Hetty and I went out walking this morning.

Nicola called me for work/life advice. She's finding it difficult without me and Carol and it looks like Rosemary and Sarah are leaving too. I always reminded Nicola that she worked with a bunch of old women and we would all one day leave.

Tim and Jo are in the orchard removing various branches from the trees. Tim says they will produce more fruit than last year. I don't think we can cope with more fruit!

Cloudy but mild day.
