A Touch of Red on a Grey Morning

Not the greatest photo but it was hard to follow Mr. Cardinal as he hopped from branch to branch so I gave it a painterly effect.  The camera was having trouble focusing through the tangle of branches on Auntie's Tree.  I keep trying to get a photo of him with his crest fully erect, this is just partially up.  Sometimes he and the Ms. come late in the day, at dusk, and the low light is no help morning or evening, and they are not frequent visitors.  Patience is needed.  He will stand out more on Thursday when we will be hammered by a storm all day, the first in quite a while.  It will begin Wednesday night and last all day as much as a foot of snow possible.  I will be going out to replenish the seed supply on Wednesday morning.
