Caught In A Cleft
The snow accumulation from the other day had begun to dissipate after yesterday and today's sunshine uncovering the rocks along the shore. In all the time we've been here, February has been a frozen tundra, very strange. As clouds gathered on the horizon towards sunset, a touch of colour came to the sky and I framed up this twig caught in the rocks as my foreground subject.
I could have focus stacked this shot easily enough, but in this case the background softness helps to show the crispness of the snow. Quite a pleasing image.
