The Ride Home
We got up very early to attend 7:00 am Mass. Brooklyn’s team had their first playoff basketball game at 10:15. She took a soccer ball to the face yesterday so we weren’t sure how much she’d play. Her face was a bit swollen but there is no concussion. She is a tough cookie; she played much of the game, scored 6 points and had several great defensive plays. We won 46-6. We took the scenic ride home to find a blip. The Amish community, heading home after their Sunday service, provided a great shot. We consider them such an asset to our county. Besides their wonderful flowers, plants and produce, they remind us of the importance of a simple life. Hubby treated me to pizza and then we headed home to enjoy the rest of our weekend. I believe our nap lasted three hours. It’s Kindle time! Sure hope your weekend was nice. Most working folks in the US will have an extra day off tomorrow for President’s Day. Thanks for the visit and well wishes for my mother. Tried to call her earlier but she must have been resting. I will pass on your greetings. Stay safe.
