Whelk hunter

Super stunning day. Blue skies, mild (12C). Decided to return 4 bottles of rosé - despite good reviews - we didn’t like it at all.

Then to the large Tesco in Branksome for more of the Italian red we enjoyed on Sunday. Our guests were so enamoured with it, they texted to say they had bought ½ case there (25% of 6 bottles), so went while that deal was on.

Parked in Canford Cliffs and walked down to the beach. Lots of happy families, and others, making the most of the weather. Had a drink on terrace at the Jazz Café, lucky to find a space! Chatted to a charming middle-aged Dutch/German couple who currently live and work in the UK and regularly visit Bournemouth.

Walked on to Poole Harbour and Sandbanks. Fortunately a bus was due in 10mns (the next was 2 hours later), so took it back to the car. Saved us a good ½ hour walk.
