Ware Street, Bearsted

Another in the very occasional series of ancient buildings of Bearsted. This house is a late 15th century early 16th century timber framed former hall house. We’ve walked past this house hundreds of times over the years and I’ve never been able to see a way of capturing an image until today.

We’re away a few days in Hampshire, visiting a friend and walking the coastal inlets and Downs. I know, I know, we’ve only just come back from a long trip and now we’re off again.

We did the Star Count tonight agreeing that we saw 11 stars inside the corners of Orion.
