along the Pader

Trip to Paderborn to attend the deRSE conference. I've been to all of the UK RSE conferences bar last year's one. This is the first German RSE conference for me. Paderborn is a town in North Rhine Westphalia. It was first mentioned in 777 when Charlemagne build a castle. The are lots of springs that feed the river Pader which is shortest river in Germany with only 4km length. Unfortunately, there is not much left of the old city as it was destroyed at the end of the WW2. I had a nice wander through town, picked up a kebab and went back to the hotel to read my book. Looking forward to the conference.
