The crocus
A lovely Spring-like afternoon much of it spent continuing the work to restore the old flower beds in my late father's garden. We weren't successful with crocuses in our Sussex garden, probably due to the cold heavy clay, but in the thin sandy soils here they run rampant. I noticed some Lesser Celandine in flower on my morning walk. Another sign that Spring will soon be sprung.
