Exhausted!
OH has been coughing everywhere and it feels like I'm getting it. Damn.
Took Kyro for a brief walk.
After lunch headed to the village of Wilburton, near Ely where the enclosed dog park was. We drove along potholed fen roads to reach it.
To enter the gate had a code. And the car park had a gate separating the field. The field is 7 acres with a narrow partially enclosed smaller field leading to a massive one.
We thought we'd start Kyro on the smaller field walking him for a while on the lead. There were straw bales fenced in on the long sides which we thought might be good for recall with OH and I at either opening.
Kyro went through but then ran out of the narrow field into the larger one and disappeared off skirting the inner perimeter and seemed to be looking for an exit.
We weren't sure he would challenge the security stated on the website. No amount of calling made a difference. We headed to him after he slowed down and was panting.
Consequently he was too far in the distance to blip anything more than a speck. Plus photographing was the last consideration.
On the plus side he had a run and the field was secure. He might enjoy further visits to familiarise himself with a safe open space.
Maybe we'll locate another dog park with a smaller open space for him.
So I'm afraid you've not got a hound in action but an exhausted, inactive one.
Pottery throw down later.
Pleasant evening everyone.
