Timeless Essence

Is there continuity between the old and the new?
The design, the materials, the uses of buildings.
All different through the years.
Yet the essence of a building remains the same.
I think it must be the same process for me.
I am no longer the same person I was.
I look at pictures from the past...
And I can see major shifts.
I don't look the same, act the same, think the same.
Yet my essence remains unchanged.
For my heart and soul feel the same.
