Cool It

The remaining cooling towers at Rugeley Power Station. I discovered in the week that the Rugeley bypass now goes right past these towers so you can get up close and personal. I took the wide angle lens and got a few arty shots with flowers in the foreground and these worked OK but didn't really convey the towering strength of these structures. It was not really the ideal sky for this shot (it was in the week) but I cycled thirty miles to get these shots so one of them is going to feature as pic of the day no matter what.

On other news, it's Eurovision tonight so good luck to Bonny. Although, if these were chimneys and that was smoke billowing out, they would probably be a fair reflection of our chances of winning.
