High and dry …

… or so it seems.

We had a nice gentle day today - a leisurely breakfast, some household chores, looking through an email from our travel agent with options for hotels where we need them, a gentle walk down to the waterfront and back, a visit from daughter and son-in-law.  Lovely!

Then we watched the news and were in tears once more.  So much devastation, lives taken, livelihoods and homes destroyed - absolutely heartbreaking.

As we approached the Kohimarama Yacht Club we could see a whole bunch of little dinghies looking as though the water and drained from under them and they were marooned.  They weren’t, of course, as they were all on trailers.  I took two photos, one from the St Heliers end of Kohimarama Beach and one slightly further around looking back towards the yacht club.
