Best laid plans….

We were determined to have a ‘date day’ this weekend having not seemed to have much time recently, then on Wednesday Kevin started sneezing & coughing.
He did seem to be better yesterday but was awake coughing a lot overnight, so the plans were abandoned. I went for a walk with my friend , just a short walk around Etherow again. It was sunny and warm at first but clouded over and got a little breezy towards the end of the walk.
Got home and spent some time in the garden clearing up some of the wet soggy leaves, cleaning and refilling the bird feeders, then the rain started.
So our ‘date day’ turned into a takeaway, a glass (or maybe two) of the dark stuff, and we have started binge watching Happy Valley, not sure how we’ve missed it up to now as Sarah Lancashire is one of our favourite actresses. Series one completed, might do series two tomorrow.
