Up sharpish, but it took a while to log on and try and knock off a couple more hours of OT; the heavy drizzle meant I had no great urgency to head on out.
A call from Paw and updates as She headed off in a Marrakech sort of a direction via Newcastle (train) and then Manchester with Her brother (car) to grab a flight to Africa.
Eventually the mizzle subsided, so I took the dog off out and delivered Alex's Spartans kit back and carried on up towards town; to the Fruitmarket for the Artist's Bookmarket and I managed to collect a copy of Dave Lowe's Pure Dead Modern - a zine of post war Edinburgh architecture. Onwards back through town (how many people drive with a phone in one hand? Answer - far too many. I saw dozens today)
A surprise Cigs find in the New Town; and a glance at another that may become more visible in the near future. Onto Inverleith Park via the WOL path from Canonmills; Loki managed to get caked in mud, chase around with a spaniel, a St Bernard, a cockapoo and a bunch of black labs. Thankfully there was standing water so I enticed Loki in to get rid of some of the mud before we finally headed home; just shy of 9 miles.
Football watching, reading, dog feeding, dinner, a beer (maybe 2) and general peace ensued.
