Turtle tee

Good night, quiet day.
Walking, coffee, cleaning too.
Wearing turtle tee.

We all slept a bit better, I didn't bother trying to wake in the early hours for Leo and he slept right through without needing a wee, so that was great.  Ben slept too so we were doubly winning.  I went back to bed for a bit and Mr KCNQ2Haiku took Leo for his first walk, then Ben and I made fairy cakes.  I put Leo in his crate for a nap and we went out to the shops, I was really pleased with how settled he was, we were gone for about 30 mins and I hardly think he noticed :-) After lunch Ben and I went to the lake and river for a walk with Leo.  Ben was very hard work, he can't bear it when Leo doesn't come in the right direction or pulls or generally does any kind of puppyish activity.  He really nearly lost it when we were by the river, shaking Leo's lead and shouting but the positive is that he did manage to pull back from it, we did some running races (Leo won) and climbed down some of the dry banks.  This photo was taken near the end of the walk and he was feeling a bit calmer.  He was wearing his turtles tee which I think is cool, Mr KCNQ2Haiku bought it for him for his birthday.  We also met a couple who were in the bushes (a bit peculiar) and Leo stopped to engage with them (I would have given bush people a wide berth!!) and it turns out they were foraging for mushrooms, they showed us some that they were cutting off a log, they were red on he inside, it was really interesting.  The lady said they would be lovely in stir fries! Now I'm not going to join in.. but I was impressed :-)
The rest of the afternoon has been focused around Ben asking for food, which is tiresome.  He eats loads and loads but he is just never full and we're so wary of overfeeding him and then having to deal with extra heft on top of his physicality.  Oh well, we're nearly at bedtime and there's been no major disasters.
