Sausage Sizzle
It was sizzling today, again.
There's to be a referendum at the end of the year to vote for The Voice to Parliament and the first meeting of the yes campaign kicked off in Petersham Park this afternoon.
We’ll be asked whether we support changing the Constitution to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through the establishment of a representative Voice to inform government and parliamentary decisions.
For many people, following the process leading up to the referendum so far has been confusing.
Albo was very comfortable, speaking to the mostly converted and on his home turf.
It was a particularly Australian scene with a sausage sizzle and members of the public sitting on the grass within feet of the prime minister.
A cricket game was taking place on the oval behind the meeting, and the cricketers were oblivious to it.
The only game in town this afternoon was theirs:))
