Springing

The bulbs are starting to flower around campus - shame the sun wasn’t shining to welcome them.

I had a last minute invitation yesterday evening to go to a ballet tonight as the original ticket holder was unwell and couldn’t go. It was one of the Matthew Bourne productions, Sleeping Beauty, that was showing in a theatre about 45 mins away. I left work a bit early so that I had time to grab something to eat beforehand.

I’ve seen this ballet once before, about 10 years ago I think, but I couldn’t really remember it very clearly so I was more than happy to watch it again. And amazingly I managed to stay awake all the way through (I sometimes struggle with dark, warm theatre settings these days, especially after work)! I rather like his quirky style of choreography.

I didn’t much appreciate the late night though - I didn’t get to bed until about 11.15 so I expect I’ll struggle to get up tomorrow!
