Loch Ruskie
The forecast for today was for rain during the afternoon so we decided to head out for a good, long walk this morning. We had been meaning to explore this walk from Callander to Loch Ruskie for quite some time and finally got around to it today. I didn't appreciate quite how far it was (11 miles round trip).
It was dry all the way there and on arrival we were very lucky to see an Osprey with a big fish in it's talons being chased by crows and gulls. My camera couldn't have done justice to that (cue for a new camera?) so we made do with the binoculars. We didn't hang around for long as the rain started and we had a 5.5 mile treck home in the rain, we were soaked by the time we got home!
Knackered now, need to get a second surge of energy as we are going out for dinner with friends tonight to Callander Meadows. If you are ever in the area, you won't go far wrong with a meal there, it never disappoints!
