Friends Reunited!

A lovely dinner round at Sze’s family home. She and Dd were CELTA trainers together in our Budapest days and it was great to see her husband, C, again, and son, M, for the very first time! It was not only great to catch up on our lives but also to get the inside track on all things about living in Singapore, as non-nationals.

Before, we had transferred from the very splendid Hilton on Orchard Road, now that my work is over, to The Clover Hotel in Bugis. A characterful old Singapore two-storey building area beside the Sultan mosque. Nice to hear the call to prayer at 5am!

And many thanks indeed for all the birthday wishes, hearts and stars yesterday!
