After driving much of the way through mist and fog yesterday it was good to see blue sky this morning.  The strong overnight winds were subsiding when I went for a local walk although it was still very windy but comparatively sheltered on the tree lined road which had several fallen branches.  Behind me in the photo were patches of snowdrops in the wood and ahead were distant clear views towards the hills.  Many of the trees and hedges have tiny buds appearing and although some fields are still being ploughed, autumn sown crops are growing well. Hopefully the predictions of a return to winter will not cause the road to be blocked like it was exactly two years ago.
