Leucojum Vernum aka Spring Snowflake

Although rather windy it has been a beautiful day so a shopping trip to St Andrews was put on hold and we made our way to Cambo Estate.

The Walled Garden is not the place to visit in February but the Woodland Walk most certainly is. Cambo is famous for its Snowdrop Festival and there are certainly thousands of delicate white snowdrops carpeting the woodland floor. If you examine the flowers carefully you will find that they are not all the same but green and white are common to all (I think!)

Hellebores, crocuses, dwarf irises and aconites share the ground space with the snowdrops.
