Made in Stirling

I mentioned yesterday that I have birthday presents to buy this year. Significant ones I mean.  My four very good pals and I will be having milestone celebrations over the next few months. I'm the youngest :-). We all have everything we could possibly need and more. Not youth and vigour of course but materially what could we possibly need or want. On the other hand it's important to mark the occasions with a small gift.

I decided to buy the same gift for each of my friends. None of the others lives in Stirling so I went to the Made in Stirling shop and bought four of these little jugs made by local potter Hannah MacIntosh. The design is the Stirling skyline including the Castle and Wallace Monument. A small gift, something from Stirling and support to a local craftsperson. Three big ticks. Hope they like them - the first one will be given next month.

Met my lovely Monday/Tuesday yoga teacher's mum, currently staying with her for a few days, this morning. She doesn't live locally but we've seen each other on Zoom in the classes. We went for coffee and a wander and it was very enjoyable. We got on like old friends. Hope to see her again before she goes home.

Walking with R this afternoon. It's a lovely sunny day but very windy. It'll be a good walk but better when the wind is at our backs.

Wishing you a good weekend.
