Victoria Theatre (1901)

Named after HRH, this concert hall was built for the citizens of Halifax near the end of her reign.

Last day in Halifax for me, my train journey was somewhat spoiled by a spiv who'd been at the races in York and was heading to Glasgow. He'd been at the ale since 10.30am, (and let the carriage know it), and then proceeded to quaff a few more bottles as we trundled north. He announced to all the poor passengers who couldn't ignore him that he was heading for a stag-do. Good luck with that.
