BitCoin Mining

I went into my office this afternoon and found the Tinies being very industrious.  I asked them what they were doing and they told me "BitCoin Mining".
I do not understand or comprehend BitCoins/CryptoCurrencies at all, but they obviously thought there was a future in it.
