Wound up in Wexford

Daffs

I photographed these when they were just emerging.  Now they're starting to flower.

It's been a grey, drizzly day.  I went to the "knit and natter" gathering this morning - it'll be my last visit - to thank them for being so welcoming and bid farewell.

Then a trip to Loughrea, where we called into the bank to transfer a very large (at least to us) sum of money to our solicitor to pay for the house.  W had contacted customer services of our bank, to ask how to arrange this, and been told to go into a local branch with photo ID and it would all be arranged.  Well, I'm distinctly underwhelmed.  Basically they just had W do the whole thing - initially on his mobile whilst standing in the waiting area, but when we protested, they suggested moving to one of the computer screens.  And there was a glitch due to him incorrectly inputting his IBAN the first time - difficult to deal with a slightly unfamiliar keyboard layout and the stress of "do it yourself" banking, when we had expected to just sit and let someone familiar with the system do all the inputting.  Took an hour!  And during that time we occupied the time of an employee (albeit it seemed, one in training) to help with navigating the tech.  Surely someone doing it for us, using systems with which they were familiar, would have cut the time by at least 50%.

Anyway, it's done.

We then had late lunch in a cafe in Loughrea, did a bit of shopping on the High Street, and a bit more in the supermarket on the way home.  Still light (just) when we arrived back at our apart, but no photos taken.  After sitting and relaxing for a while, so now fully dark, I recalled that the daffs were now starting to flower.  Photo obviously taken with flash.
