Are Humans Genetically Similar To Gorillas?

Initial comparisons confirm that chimpanzees are our closest relatives, sharing 99% of our DNA. Gorillas come a close second with 98%, and orangutans third with a 97% share.


Mind you - if I was a gorilla I'd be pretty cheesed at being compared to some of the Homo sapiens I've met in the 71 years I've been on this planet!
