Newstead

A quick trip up to Melrose today with my mother and sister. Picked them up from the airport and headed straight up to see Granny for lunch, 12:15 sharp! Had a lovely day, including a good walk with Mum in the sunshine along the Battery Dike by the Tweed and on to Newstead, peering for 10 fascinating minutes into the house where my Granny was brought up (it's up for sale, but largely untouched). Mum has a great memory for all the old stories... I only hope I can remember a small fraction to tell any children I have.
