Between the Poplars….

This gateway-like structure between some poplars is a reminder of past uses of this lovely Reserve beside the river. The area was used by the Blenheim Pony Club for many years. There are still structures such as low jumps still in evidence. However the Pony Club relocated to a new equestrian area out of town.
The plight of people, animals, communications, buildings, homes and roading in large areas of the North Island weighs heavily on my mind. Cyclone Gabrielle has changed so many lives for ever. The devastation is beyond belief. It is going to be such a long road to recovery. Kia Kaha.
