Pigeon flapping
Mr Perkins was up to no good last night. No good, I tell you, even though I know you don’t believe me. But he was.
This afternoon, the pigeons were flapping about in the tree they flap about in sometimes till they flew off in different directions.
I went to Ely and mooched round the shops. In Cambridge at the weekend, I’d spurned Ryman’s’s red Bic biros at £1.19 each. I went in WHSmiths in Ely today, thinking they’d be cheaper. They weren’t: £1.30 each.
These are red Bic biros, not platinum-plated Parker pens.
I noticed Tindall’s, an art shop, and wondered if they’d have any. They did: 55p a pop. I got three.
