Flowers and a Card

A day late to photograph, but yet again I was sitting on the settee well after sunset with not a single photograph taken.

It was a working day, this time in the office but it was quite unproductive as the digital services team were trying to get my laptop to communicate with the monitors on our hot desks.  In the end they had to admit defeat and are preparing a new laptop for me to use next time I am in the office.

A couple of meetings took place and then I headed home where I could use the laptop connected to my home monitor using an HDMI cable (we use USB-C to connect in the office).  

In the afternoon we had a third meeting where a demonstration of accessible technology for websites was given.  We are currently migrating the Council's website to this technology which amongst other things can translate the pages into 60 plus different languages.  It also allows the type face and background to be changed to help people with visual impairment, as well as forms of autism and dyslexia. It also explained why the name badges in hospitals are black type on yellow background.  Apparently this is the best combination for dyslexics to read.  It helps even more if the type is weighted more heavily at the base.  We are currently working to make our site more accessible for customers.
