Not the day…

…I expected or wanted , from the get-go and an early call alerting me to what was going to happen.

So after watching Nicola’s  graceful , thoughtful and inspirational resignation speech in my laptop in the conservatory it turned out to be an afternoon of talking to various types of media whilst writing a lengthier than normal think piece for tomorrow’s National .

And regretting the end of an era…..
