Madeleine

Up before the crack of dawn to get to the airport for our 6.40am flight to Toulouse. All very easy - just over two hours flight, tram into the city centre and a couple of cafe stops in the sun,  before catching the train to Albi-Madeleine, a mere hour away, and where we're staying for the next four nights.

I was struck on the train journey, and it was full as well, that nobody was having a conservation with their travelling companions, nobody was making any phone calls, nobody was eating or drinking. Is this a French thing? Or just train etiquette over here? Absolute silence all the way. 

Anyway, the apartment is great, we've ventured out to the supermarket for supplies, Albi seems lovely and...and....an early night is definitely in order.

All pics are from Toulouse by the way, plenty of time for Albi and environs before we fly back Sunday night.
