Cake is always a good idea

We don't usually make a fuss about those commercialized holidays like Valentine's Day, but it was a nice surprice when Daníel brought home a cake after work today.  Icelandic bakers have this annual competition for "Cake of the Year" and this is the winner for 2023.  It includes Doré-caramel mousse and passion fruit cream on a soft hazelnut-marenge bottom layer. 

Booked a ticket to go with my mother to Copenhagen in March, looking forward to seeing my brother and his family.
