Waves

I went down to beach to see how big the waves were, as a result of the cyclone.
You can’t tell from this photo but they are big.
Dad is still on and off with phone coverage, he has no power but is fine .

There are so many people in the Hawkes Bay area affected now, flooding and roads broken. No communication is the problem.

People are being rescued off rooftops by helicopters.
I have a very good friend up there. I messaged her daughter today ( she lives in another part of the country) to see how much she’d heard. She hasn’t heard from her mum or extended family at all.
We are hoping that they have been evacuated and are just out of cell phone reception.
