Waiting for Orcas

I got a call from a neighbour today to say that there was a pod of Orcas off our point! So I grabbed camera and ran down - carefully - to my point and sat waiting....
Good news there were actually visible (this breaks 23 years of no whale sightings) but too faraway to make an impressive photo :-( so I sat in the warm sun waiting fro them to circle Russell Island and make a show for me - no such luck but I filled my time getting some sweet dry grass and water shots closeup and enjoying the sun and warmth.
