Neighbourhood cats
It is usually dogs in the road that you associate with sleepy rural villages but here it is cats. Half of our neighbourhood cats belong to no one but get fed regularly by individuals. The cat in the road is reasonably safe as very few cars come down our street, it gets far too narrow. The cat on the bonnet of the red car is the one we feed regularly. This morning I did the market shopping in Prades and then went on to the dentist who confirmed that all the pain I have had was due to a dry socket. It is slowly improving but he says he can do nothing more for nine months until the bone has completely healed. When I pointed out another tooth that might be affected by a cyst, he took an x-ray and confirmed that is indeed the case and if it gives more trouble, it will need to come out and then I will need a bridge. Dental work for me is like painting the Forth bridge - never ending!
