Eider on the Rocks

Whenever I see a sea bird these days whether gulls, ducks, gannets, cormorant or anything else that is acting strange my first thought is bird flu.
While this Eider was not showing signs of the distress I've seen with other birds it was just sitting with its back to the sea quite oblivious of anything else going on around it.  I don't see the numbers of Eiders I used to - no more huge rafts of the birds at any time of year.
