Gull
Back to the sea and a different beach. This is Workington beach and as you can see a sign indicating part of England's Coastal Path. The beach itself is mainly stony. I had decided to pay a visit here as it is at least a month since I was here and as you can see it was reasonably early. The sun is rising over the Fells, The one on the left is Grasmoor and that is at the beginning of the Lorton Valley leading to Buttermere and the one on the right is likely to be Melbreak, but unsure on this one. The carpark is a popular place to get near to the shore and the end of the pier, a start of the C2C walk and cycle path. Seagulls flock around here waiting for scraps and other birds waiting for what's left. They will have to be quick.
There is a large concrete square block and this is a favourite place to stay. The best vantage point is the top of the pole and invariably this seems to be a position gulls like to have. Behind that pole and between the Fells is Workington, turbines and all.
