My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

A remarkably quiet day was had. We've been getting weather reports of power being knocked out up north and awaited the worst down here.

So far, it's all pretty uneventful.

Right now the back door is open and Punky is looking out onto his garden. The cicadas are singing and Jasper is curled up warm and cosy in his bed.

In her bedroom, DG is curled up warm and cosy in hers.

Caro asked me to make stodgy tea so mince and potatoes it was. 

Other than that, situation normal. Let's hope it stays this way.
