An Active Day
The day started with a pair of roe deer wandering across the field outside as we ate breakfast, much to everyone's delight.
Once breakfast was over we took another snowshoeing walk, including some good path finding from Jude and Dave as they led us up the hill from a different starting point.
Meanwhile Jan was at home baking cheese scones and soon after we got back another friend, Anders, suddenly arrived with plans for a kayak shed to replace the collapsed kayak tent. He has built several houses and enjoys using his skills. Anders stayed for dinner in the end.
After dinner some of our visitors had a family zoom meeting and once that was over we mostly sat ourselves down in front of the logburner for the evening. I had to run back and forth to the kitchen to do "stretch and folds" on my sourdough. Right now I'm waiting for it to rise 25% so I can move onto the next stage, shaping and placing in proving baskets overnight. I'm hoping to get to bed in the not-too-distant future but it's rising a bit slowly, and now it's just past midnight....
