Narrow Bridge

This narrow slab of local lias stone forms a bridge across the stream which runs alongside the footpath we take on one of our routes up onto Street Hill. We walked it this afternoon in pleasantly Spring- like sunshine.

That piece of stone has served its purpose all the years we have lived here (43 and counting) and, I suspect, for a good many years before that.

This morning we did some shopping and a bit of baking for a gathering later in the week.
