Highlights of the day

On the first of February I started a jigsaw. Today, two weeks later, I located the last two straight-edge jigsaw pieces. I was beginning to think they were missing. This was the main highlight of the day.

The Italian Bialetti coffee machines are built to last a lifetime. About the only thing that ever needs replacing is the rubber ring between the top and bottom halves of the device. Last week, after many years of service, I noticed the seal had failed. The second highlight of the day was a visit to the coffee shop for new rings.
