The Air Ambulance

The Air Ambulance did a few circuits round our area this afternoon, either picking a patient up from the local hospital or delivering a patient.
There used to be a helicopter landing pad at the hospital, but in their infinite wisdom it was removed and the land sold for houses, (the hospital has a specialist spinal unit).
Now the pilot has to land in a playing field, if there are football matches taking place they all have to be cleared. Then an ambulance has to transfer the patient by road.
I expect the people who thought up that idea were all highly paid, or is it me that is being sarcastic?
