Blue Pools

Twenty two people turned up at the meeting place, and we were soon on our way to the Blue Pools, an hour's drive away at Makarora.  It was a stunning walk through the Beech Trees, (1), to the pools.  Lots of tourists there today, the most I have ever seen! (2).  I also saw a native Wood Pigeon (3).  We crossed a swing bridge (4).  

We had a welcome cuppa at a cafe at Makaroa.  Home now, tired, but very happy with today's outing.
