A mystery

We cycled to Grange-over-Sands, had coffee, then one of us couldn't find the key to undo the padlock where we'd fastened the bikes.  Complete mystery as to where it had gone within 20 yards of the bikes and cafe.  We came back on the bus to collect a spare key, which didn't work, and wire cutters.
