Reddish Vale Country Park
Another weekend walk with my friend this time we went to explore a different local country park. It lies within five miles from where I live and I have walked through some parts of it but today went to the other end of the park and did a short circular route. Exploring the community garden, a lovely place with lots of interesting corners and bug houses, past bee & butterfly gardens and past the fishing ponds. There was a magnificent cormorant spreading his wings but with only my phone I couldn’t zoom in close enough. We also saw swans, Canada geese, mallards and a small colony of mandarin ducks. I chose this photo to show how calm the water was with the ducks and the tree branches reflected on the water.
