Light Landing
Standing on one-step stool, leaning against the kitchen windows, I tried to capture this hummingbird doing something other than burying his beak in the feeder or gazing contemplatively off into space for a nanosecond, reflecting on today's batch of sugar water.
One of the things I enjoy most about Blipfoto is how my quest for just the right photo -- which, when photographing hummingbirds on a dull day with a compact camera having only a 4x zoom, is about as successful as playing the slot machines at a casino -- is so much more appealing than repetitive everyday tasks, and provides me with a ready excuse if those tasks are occasionally postponed.
